Goal two: Enable people affected by lymphoma to feel supported by others who understand what they are going through
“I have been uplifted just by talking with you. It is the first time I have felt able to shed any tears.
We supported 1,303 interactions with our Helpline Services via phone, email and Live Chat. Individuals who fed back said that they felt grateful for the information and support provided; that they were given the time to talk and were able to safely express their emotions.
We launched a new suite of Online Support Meetings to increase our reach when providing support to people affected by lymphoma. 256 meetings were held with 1,336 attendances where people could share experiences and receive support and information.
246 people attended our 11 Special Focus Meetings, covering topics that people told us they were concerned about, and some of the more common impacts of lymphoma.
842 people joined our closed Facebook support group to connect with others for support, taking the total group membership to 4,187.
We made 36 successful Buddy links and welcomed 19 new Buddies to this service, which gives people the opportunity to speak to someone who has been through a similar experience.
249 people were supported by our Live your Life programme through online and in-person workshops, and our mini course.
94% of people who attended a Live your Life online workshop said it helped them to know what they can do to live well during and after lymphoma treatment.
