Goal one: Ensure that people understand lymphoma
“My diagnosis came totally out of the blue. I was given information booklets at the hospital from Lymphoma Action that were so helpful and answered many of my questions about lymphoma and the treatment I would need.
We sent over 79,000 copies of our Lymphoma Matters magazine packed with helpful information about living with lymphoma, updates on the latest developments in diagnosis and treatment and personal stories from people affected by the condition.
We distributed 26,883 of our information books to provide people with the most up to date information about lymphoma. Our health information pages also received 1.8 million views overall from people wanting to find out more about the condition.
We published 24 personal stories on our website from people sharing their experiences of lymphoma, and 130 information blog posts to inform people about health and cancer related issues.
We produced a new Lymphoma Symptoms animation to raise awareness about some of the common symptoms of lymphoma, and lymphoma in general. Our What is Lymphoma? animation was also a finalist at the Smiley Charity Film Awards, which was a great opportunity to spread the word about this type of blood cancer.
“Your website has been an incredible help during my treatment and reading other people's stories has given me so much hope to push through and beat lymphoma! Thank you so much.
We maintained our PIF TICK accreditation following an annual re-assessment, demonstrating our provision of trusted health and care information.
We improved the accessibility of our information following an accessibility audit on our website, and translated three of our animations and instructions on how to access our Helpline Service via Language Line into Punjabi, Polish and Romanian.
